By creating an account or using NoMarkupTextbooks ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
NoMarkupTextbooks is a venue that connects students who want to buy and sell textbooks directly with each other. We are not a party to any transaction. We do not handle payments, hold inventory, verify the condition of books, or guarantee that any transaction will be completed. All sales are arranged and completed directly between the buyer and the seller.
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
When using the Service, you agree that you will:
List only textbooks and educational books that you own and have the right to sell; describe items honestly and accurately, including condition, edition, and any missing components such as access codes; not list counterfeit, pirated, or unauthorized copies of copyrighted works; not post content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive, or spam; and not use the messaging system to harass other users or send unsolicited advertising.
We may remove listings or suspend accounts that violate these terms at our discretion.
Buyers and sellers arrange payment and exchange directly. We strongly recommend meeting in busy, public locations, inspecting the book before paying, and never sharing financial account details through messages. You transact at your own risk, and NoMarkupTextbooks is not responsible for disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions between users.
Ratings must reflect a genuine transaction experience. Manipulating ratings — including rating yourself, coordinating fake reviews, or retaliating with false ratings — is prohibited.
You retain rights to the content you post (such as listing photos and descriptions) and grant us a license to display it on the Service. The NoMarkupTextbooks name, design, and code are our property and may not be copied without permission.
The Service may display third-party advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the websites they link to. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and your choices.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoMarkupTextbooks and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or from transactions between users.
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
